  • 12 oz penne pasta You can use any pasta, but penne catches sauce beautifully.
  • 1 packet ranch dressing seasoning I use Hidden Valley Ranch.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Half-and-half can be used in a pinch.
Proteins
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use leftovers or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 6 strips bacon, crispy, crumbled Feel free to add more bacon for extra flavor.
Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Sharp cheddar is recommended, but any cheese will work.
Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to your personal preference.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente.
Cooking the Bacon
  1. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot over low heat. Add the shredded chicken, crispy bacon, ranch seasoning, and heavy cream.
Stirring in Cheese
  1. Add the shredded cheese and stir until melted and combined.
Adjusting Seasoning
  1. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
Serving
  1. Dish into bowls and garnish with extra bacon or cheese if desired.
