  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks Sirloin works too if you're on a budget.
  • Salt and pepper Use sea salt if preferred.
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin is preferred for rich flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use 6 cloves if you're feeling bold.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Low-fat cream will not yield the same flavor.
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese Add more if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Enhances the dish with fresh flavor.
  • Optional: red pepper flakes For a little extra kick if desired.

Method
 

Searing the Steaks
  1. Season both sides of your steaks with salt and pepper, and heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  2. Cook your steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time if you prefer them more done.
Creating the Creamy Garlic Sauce
  1. Remove the steaks from the pan and set them aside to rest.
  2. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Whisking the Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until combined.
  2. Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese and whisk until it melts into the sauce.
Serving
  1. Plate the steaks, pour the creamy garlic sauce over them, and garnish with fresh parsley.
