  • 1 stick unsalted butter Heinz brand recommended for richness
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use 6 if you’re feeling bold
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Adds richness to the sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use a block and grate it yourself for better flavor
  • Salt and pepper To taste; preferably sea salt
  • Fresh parsley Optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until it’s smoking hot.
  2. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper before placing it in the skillet.
Cooking the Steak
  1. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and doneness preference.
  2. Once cooked to your liking, take the steak out and let it rest.
Making the Sauce
  1. Reduce the heat to medium, add butter and let it melt before stirring in the garlic.
  2. Slowly add the heavy cream and stir for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  3. Then, whisk in the Parmesan cheese.
Serving
  1. Slice the steak against the grain and pour the creamy sauce generously over the top.
