Cooking the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
Preparing the Sauce
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped garlic to the hot oil and sauté until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
- Toss in the red pepper flakes just before you drain the pasta.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
- Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the garlic and oil.
- Add salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes
If you burn the garlic, discard it and start over. You can substitute red pepper flakes with smoked paprika for heat. Leftovers taste even better the next day.
